You Lose | A Teen Play

In 1999 the YOU LOSE teen theatrical production was developed by Rodney Anderson of the Ensemble Rep Theatre Company in association with Friday Night Live, and the Riverside County Office of Education. In January 2001 the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) awarded funding to EMS — Injury Prevention to produce this play at 14 sites in Riverside County. It was met with tremendous success.

In 2002, the production was acknowledged by OTS for outstanding achievement in traffic safety. YOU LOSE is comprised of six vignettes that touch on the social, emotional, and legal consequences that are associated with teen impaired driving. The play is taken to various high schools in which a group of teens are chosen from each site to perform the play for their peers. The goal of the play is to educate as many teens as possible that when you drink and drive — YOU LOSE!
