Every 15 Minutes is a two-day program that consists of five components that demonstrates the serious consequences of driving impaired. The name Every Fifteen Minutes originated with the previous statistic that one person dies every fifteen minutes in an alcohol related collision in this country.
The program components include:
• Grim Reaper - enters classrooms every 15 minutes, removing students who were pre-selected to participate
• Mock Traffic Collision - depicts every aspect of an actual traffic collision, from minor to major injuries and death
• Death Notifications - administered by the Corners Office or Police to one or both of parents at their place of work or residence
• Overnight Retreat - participants given opportunities to process days events
• Assembly - presentations by students, parents, police officers, medical personnel and school officials.
