In September of 2001, Injury Prevention Services (IPS) was awarded a grant from the Riverside County Children & Families Commission to develop and implement countywide injury prevention programs for children ages 0-5. With this grant funding, IPS has collaborated with numerous agencies, organizations and individuals in Riverside County to help create these programs and services specifically for Riverside County.

This grant project, called the Riverside County Children's Injury Prevention Network, has attracted more than 100 members.
